Valentine's Day 2009

Valentine's Day this year was simple, but nice.

It started with two members of the Drake Choir singing "Till There Was You" to me while delivering my singing valentine on Friday. It was very nice, but always a bit awkward to have people singing at you. They delivered this pretty rose from my beau, Chris.

I worked at the Science Center most of the day on Saturday, and it was funny to see all of the couples coming for dates. If anyone is interested, though, it does make a pretty good date spot!

When I got off work, I hurried back to my apartment to get ready for the Iowa Chops hockey game. Since we're both poor and we were in a hurry, we decided to make Totino's pizza. It was delivered like this:

I didn't get it at first... but it didn't take me too long! (It's a heart.) It was a sweet romantic touch to a normally unromantic food.

After that, we went to the Chops game with some friends. It was a really fun time. Economical and entertaining! We're going to Hu Hot at a later date for the Anti-Valentine's special... Pretty creative marketing if you ask me!
